Aboriginal Child & Family Development
An important aspect to improving outcomes for vulnerable Aboriginal children and youth is ensuring Aboriginal people have responsibility to design and deliver culturally appropriate services. The Ministry of Children and Family Development supports and recognizes Aboriginal people to exercise jurisdiction in delivering their own child and family services. The ministry is committed to working collaboratively to implement changes and new approaches to improve the care, safety and well-being of Aboriginal children and families.
In this section, you will find information on some of the ministry’s key programs and services available to Aboriginal children, youth and families in British Columbia.
