  • Advance the safety and well being of children, youth and adults.
  • Advance early childhood development through strategic investments.
  • Advance and support a community-based system of family services that promotes innovation, equity and accountability.

Key Goals

The Ministry has three key goals, aimed at both individuals and the service delivery system:
  • Adults with developmental disabilities and children and youth with special needs can and will achieve their full potential, participate in, and contribute to their communities.
  • Children and youth are healthy and safe in their families and communities.
  • A community-based service delivery system that is effectively supported and monitored.
