Aubrey and Noah are appealing, strong-willed little boys. Just over a year apart in age, they are a likeable and cuddly duo, rambunctious and energetic. The boys love trucks, balls, water play, and swings. Aubrey and Noah share a chromosomal disorder, Fragile X, which manifests in significant developmental delays. The children need extra assistance with daily living and social skills. Their limited communication skills bring difficulty when relating to other children and adults.
Aubrey is an affectionate, happy child with a spirited and mischievous personality. He loves dogs and going for walks. Aubrey functions best in a very structured environment.
Noah is a very persistent toddler who loves aeroplanes and helicopters and throwing objects into the water. This busy toddler has autism and epilepsy.
It is hoped that a special family can be found to provide permanence for Aubrey and Noah together. They will need to reside near an urban centre to access the intensive support of an Early Intervention/Behavioural Intervention Program. The children would benefit from a skilled family who are able to manage their complex medical and social needs. This devoted family would benefit from having the support of extended family and community close at hand.
