Debuting are Blaire and Brianne, a dramatic and musical pair just waiting for life’s next act to begin. These amusing sisters enjoy singing and dancing, as well as the fun of playground activities. They are playful, energetic children who are also cuddly and affectionate with others. Blaire and Brianne are physically healthy little girls with determination and strength of will behind their sweet smiles.
Blaire is a happy, caring child who is developing into a talented swimmer. She enjoys dress-up. Blair has average skills in her relationships with adults, but has difficulty relating to other children due to her autism. She is showing significant delays in social skills and some delays in fine motor and speech skills. Blaire enjoys attending school and has a full time aide to assist her with classroom participation.
Brianne has a bubbly, cheerful nature; she is a helpful, talkative child. She loves playing with dolls and blocks and enjoys books and listening to stories. She is an outgoing and sociable little girl who, like her older sister, has average social skills with adults. She is a likeable child, but is showing some delays in the development of her social skills with other children.
These little girls are waiting for centre stage in a forever family with the skills and commitment to provide firm and loving guidance. Knowledge and experience with autism would be an asset, as well as an awareness of prenatal drug and alcohol exposure. The preferred family for these children would have no other young children in their home and would have access to specialized services. An aboriginal family would be preferred for this sibling group, but prospective adoptive homes will be considered who are able to actively embrace the children’s cultural plan with their aboriginal band.
