We are looking for a very special family to help this feisty young girl reach her potential. She was born addicted to heroine and thus has had many struggles so far in her little life. Brenna is almost 12 but functions at a much lower level.
Brenna is a spunky, active bubbly little girl who loves to play with dolls and balloons. Put some music on and you will get to see how much she enjoys it and loves to dance. Brenna is deaf but hears the beat of the bass and moves right along with it. She has very good fine motor skills and shows the potential to be quite athletic. Brenna is small for her age but has lots of spunk in her small package.
Brenna is attending her first year in a school for the deaf and is learning new signs daily. She is responding really well and is inspired by the new information she is acquiring through this opportunity.
Brenna has many medical concerns that her new family will need to explore before considering her placement. She requires a high level of supervision although as she develops, this may lessen. Initially Brenna required considerable help with eating but now manages to eat independently. She is very small and requires lots of help in many areas of her life.
Brenna’s family will need to be prepared to advocate for her within the medical system. No openness is recommended with the birth mom and the birth father has not been involved.
