Let me introduce you to this amazing and charming pair of siblings with an impressive array of talents. Imagine all the fun still available by adding these two to your family. At 11 and 12 they still have many milestones ahead of them. Perhaps you would like to be on their team?
Emily is the eldest and currently in grade 7. She can be very charming with both children and adults, but requires some help with establishing boundaries. Emily describes herself as pretty, small and smart. She also says that she is very interested in photography and that she is looking for a safe place to belong where she feels important. That sounds like a reasonable request.
Emily has asthma but is otherwise generally healthy. She is described as fascinating, charismatic, vivacious and witty. Sounds like lots of fun! Perhaps she can take the pictures for your next family gathering?
Zeke is the younger brother, currently in grade 5 and is described as articulate, likeable, sensible and well behaved. He loves to go to cubs, and also enjoys swimming and building things with his hands. Zeke comes across initially as reserved but does get along well with his peers when he has the time to warm up. He, like his sister, needs some help to establish some healthy boundaries. Zeke does well in some subjects at school and needs some help in others. Zeke sees himself as rather a “ladies man” and is quite certain that the girls all like him! Zeke also has asthma.
Both these children need a family prepared to set appropriate boundaries with them and provide a high level of supervision. Their strongest need is for the help with their boundaries.
Both these children present as younger than their years. Their biological mother and their foster parents are requesting some form of openness to be negotiated. They both require lots of stability to reach their potential. Some awareness of possible drug and alcohol exposure would be an asset to the family.
These two children have an older sister that they are close to and would need to remain contact with.
