Do you have room in your hearts and your home for these two beautiful girls? Everyone who meets Kendra and Jayne find them charming, endearing and delightful to be with.

Kendra considers herself “nice” and a “good singer” and points out that she has lots of friends. No one would disagree. She is an affectionate and intelligent girl, compassionate and loyal to her friends, popular at school and well liked by adults for her cheerful and easy going nature. Hanging out with her friends, reading, swimming and playing with the family dog are some of her favourite activities. She is musically talented and enjoys singing and playing the guitar. She is also quite spiritual and comfortable with her Christian beliefs.

At school, she is academically on track and does not require any special assistance. She excels in subjects such as music, swimming and sports activities. Although there is a possibility that Kendra was prenatally exposed to alcohol, there are no indications of any negative effects. Kendra has received counselling to help her deal with traumatic early experiences, including exposure to family violence.

Jayne, like her older sister, is a sensitive and engaging little girl with much love to give. She enjoys taking on responsibility for feeding and walking the family dog. An energetic child, she enjoys swimming, climbing, riding her bike, drawing and participating in arts and crafts projects. She can be playful and mischievous, outgoing and creative. She has a great interest in her Metis culture and is attending a program to learn more.

Jayne has been affected by prenatal exposure to alcohol. She is enthusiastic about school. She enjoys socializing with her friends and tries very hard in her modified academic program. She likes reading but needs help with comprehension and does better in a structured environment with consistent routines. Jayne continues to need assistance with toileting and requires some medication to help her focus at school and sleep well at night.

These exceptional and lovable sisters are hoping for a Christian family where they will have two parents and perhaps some pets to take care of.  Kendra understands that her foster home is not permanent and dearly wants to belong in a family she can call her own forever. Jayne is uncertain what adoption means, but home is where her sister is. The girls would do best in a family where they are the youngest children. They need parents who understand the effects of prenatal alcohol exposure, can provide the structure and consistency needed by Jayne, and who are supportive of Kendra’s musical interests. Preference will be given to a family who share Jayne and Kendra’s Metis background and will encourage interest in their cultural heritage. These girls would benefit from having continued openness with their foster family and semi-open contact with their birth parents.

Could these fun loving children be a part of your family?
