Meg

Birth Date: September, 1996

Ethno-Cultural Background: First Nations

This beautiful girl describes herself as “active, helpful and hard working” and is looking for her “own family” where she can be supported to reach her potential. Meg is very active and enjoys swimming, biking, roller blading, and listening to music. In fact she has been known to wake up singing! She loves school and going to camp, and is on track with her academics as well as being interested in extra-curricular activities. Meg will indeed keep you busy with her willingness to learn new things and her social, outgoing nature.

Meg was prenatally exposed to alcohol and has a diagnosis of FAS. Medications help to reduce to reduce hyperactivity and she generally handles life very well with boundaries in place and lots of one on one time. Meg forms good relationships with adults in her life and her peers, but sometimes her enthusiasm for younger children can overwhelm them and she needs help to learn how to model appropriate boundaries. She excels in helping in the home and being active so, if you are ready to both give and receive the love of a growing girl, Meg would make a great daughter.

The best family for Meg would include other children, preferably older, and the opportunity for consistent one on one time with the parents. Meg is of First Nations background so a First Nations family would be preferred, but a family who is willing to help her stay connected to her cultural heritage would also be considered. Meg would also need to maintain contact with her foster family, respite worker, and some of her birth family members.

If you are ready to open your heart to a girl who is full of life, Meg is waiting for her forever family.
