This sister and brother describe themselves as “happy” kids and the adults in their lives see them as polite, likable and sensitive children. Tara loves music, especially country and pop, and enjoys spending time outside riding her bike. She is artistic and creative and learned to ski quite easily as she is very persistent. Her brother Marcus likes sports including snowboarding and baseball and has fun playing with friends or Nintendo. He enjoys school and does well academically. In the summer he likes to play outside and go camping.
Both children were exposed to alcohol and drugs during pregnancy and Tara has been assessed with partial Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. She is in elementary school and struggles with math and language arts. Marcus and Tara are physically healthy but Tara is somewhat small for her age and wears eyeglasses to correct her vision.
