This delightful little character has copper red hair, blue eyes and a personality that tops both of those. Zara is a loveable, energetic little social character who gets along well with both adults and children. She navigates really well through her large foster family maintaining her strong will and determination. Much is unknown yet in terms of Zara’s potential as she is not yet 3 years old but she has surpassed most of the expectations that were established at the time of her birth.
Zara was born prematurely and lived the first 5 months of her life in the hospital. She has been in the same foster home ever since her release and has made very good connections throughout this family. Zara currently is not walking although she is very mobile by the “bum scoot” method. She also wears glasses to correct her vision.
Zara’s family will need to be prepared to advocate for her through the medical system. She currently receives speech therapy, physiotherapy and eye sight monitoring so access to resources will be a consideration in her placement. Zara will likely require supports to reach both her physical and intellectual capacity.
Zara has 3 half siblings currently being raised by their grandmother. Some form of openness with them and the current foster family would be in Zara’s best interests.
Zara’s new family will need to be comfortable with all the unknowns with this little girl. Her charm and personality definitely outweigh her limitations.
