Child Care Capital Funding Program
Minor Capital Funding for Emergency Repair, Replacement and Relocation
Minor Capital Funding helps licensed group child care providers maintain quality services for families in their communities. Under this program, child care facilities may receive funding to help them meet provincial licensing requirements related to upgrading or repairing existing facilities, replacing equipment and furnishings or assisting with moving costs. Note: Applications are accepted from April 1 to February 28 each year.
As of October 1, 2005, funding under the Minor Capital Funding Program increased from a maximum of $4,000 to $5,000 per project to assist licensed, group, nonprofit child care providers in meeting health, safety and quality standards. If a child care provider operates more than one licence care type at a facility, the maximum funding is $10,000 per facility.
