Apply for an ECE Licence to Practice Certificate

In order to receive a licence to practice, acknowledged as any of the following, you must submit an application to the ECE Registry.

How to Apply

There are two ways to submit an application to the ECE Registry, online and by mail using a paper application:

Online

Online applications are recommended to speed up the processing of your application. If you apply online, you can save your application and return to it at any time prior to submitting. You will also have the ability to update your contact information at any time and keep current with the ECE Registry.

Step 1: Online applications require that you set up an Electronic Identity account called a BCeID. This is a simple process that will take only a few minutes. To create your BCeID account, go to www.bceid.gov.bc.ca. For individuals who have a certificate number with the ECE Registry, contact the Registry at 1 888 338-6622 or ECERegistry@gov.bc.ca to have your BCeID account number linked to your certificate number with the Registry. (If you do not have a certificate number with the ECE Registry proceed to Step 2.)

Step 2: Return to this web page and log into the ECE online application system and apply for your licence. Be sure to update your personal information before you apply to ensure we have your correct contact information.

Step 3: Once you have completed your application mail your supporting documentation to the ECE Registry.
