Over the past 15 years, the Maples in collaboration with Simon Fraser University Department of Psychology, has developed a strong focus in evidence-based program development, evaluation and research. This work focuses on:

• Identifying and profiling of the clinical characteristics and treatment needs of our clients;
• Developing and evaluating programs based on careful assessment of new findings in the field;
• Actively engaging in clinical and research training;
• Disseminating findings to professional, scientific and government audiences.

This work has produced over 25 publications in scientific journals and books, over 50 presentations at scientific conferences and to community and government audiences between 2003 and 2005 alone, and numerous presentations in the preceding years.
