FRIENDS in BC

FRIENDS for Life is a school based, evidence based curriculum, delivered by teachers/educators in the classroom. FRIENDS is now in its eighth year of implementation. Both a child and youth version are available to students in grade 4 to 7, and more recently an early years version for kindergarten and grade 1 students.

Our goal is to reach as many students as possible, to provide them with life skills that will help them cope with worries and stress, by strengthening resiliency while reducing their risk of developing an anxiety disorder.

We welcome your participation in the FRIENDS program. To learn more about FRIENDS in BC, read What is FRIENDS? and the FRIENDS Brochure, also available in French. FRIENDS was developed in Australia and has been available in BC since 2004. To learn about the implementation of FRIENDS in BC, see the History of FRIENDS and FRIENDS Today.
