FRIENDS Teacher Training & Resources
FRIENDS Certification Training & Eligibility
Prior to implementation of FRIENDS in the classroom, a one-day FRIENDS certification training is required. FRIENDS for Life training is available to teachers, school counsellors, and other educators committed to delivering FRIENDS universally to all children in the classroom, in grade 4, 5, and 7.

All training and program materials for BC school personnel (public and independent) supporting grades 4, 5 (FRIENDS ‘Child’ Program) and 7 students (FRIENDS ‘Youth’ Program) are provided by the Ministry for Child & Family Development.

Supplementary FRIENDS Resources
Supplementary FRIENDS resources are available to be used in conjunction with the delivery of the FRIENDS child program. Youth; available soon.

- Aboriginal Enrichment Activities - modified FRIENDS activities to reflect cultural references common to many West Coast nations.
FRIENDS Parent Letter
Teachers may wish to inform their students' parents/caregivers about FRIENDS and can do so by using the FRIENDS parent letter.
Ministry of Education & FRIENDS
FRIENDS for Life is endorsed by the Ministry of Education as a recommended learning resource. Click to view the Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 7 grade collection. FRIENDS addresses many of the Prescribed Learning Outcomes in the Health and Career Education K-7 curriculum.
