Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre
The Maples provides a number of programs and services to address the needs of troubled youth aged 12 to 17 with significant psychiatric and behavioural difficulties. All programs and services are holistic in their approach and include participation of the family or alternate caregivers as well as the professionals in their home community. In most programs, there are both residential and non-residential options.
These programs provide a period of stabilization and intensive intervention followed by support for families/caregivers to implement a long-term community-based care plan. The programs and services are staffed with a multidisciplinary team of social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and child and youth counsellors. The Maples uses a relational or attachment approach to promote individual and family functioning and development.
For more information about programs and services please view the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre web pages.
