Programs & Resources
As part of the implementation of the Mental Health Plan for BC, an number of innovative resources have been developed and new programs are being implemented, across BC to improve treatment and support, build family and community capacity, reduce risk through public education, provided mental health expert advice and consultation, and improve accountability and outcome monitoring. This is in addition to extensive service enhancements already underway.
The programs and resources featured in this section include:
- FRIENDS for Life, a school-based early intervention and prevention program for anxiety disorders
- A self-help guide for teens with mild or moderate depression
- Television documentaries and knowledge tools on four mental disorders: depression, anxiety, psychosis and behaviour disorders
- Resource lists on anxiety, behaviour problems, mood problems and depression.
