Provincial Outreach Services
Provincial outreach services for children and youth with special needs, their families and community professionals are available through the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. These services are intended to supplement, rather than duplicate, community services.
Provincial outreach services include:
- prescription and fitting of customized assistive devices, including mobility devices (e.g. wheelchairs)
- complex feeding and nutritional assessment
- psychology assessment or consultation
Professional Support
Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children also provides professional support services for community-based therapists to develop and increase community skills and knowledge, in order to better serve children with complex needs.
Professional supports include co-assessments, workshops and video-conferencing. Contact information is available from Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children.
